Sarah Coombes Visits Lodge

On International Women's Day, Sarah Coombes, the Parliamentary MP for West Bromwich, visited Lodge Primary School to celebrate the achievements of women and inspire the students. During her visit, she spoke about the importance of gender equality and shared her experiences as a woman in politics. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the significance of this day, making the occasion both educational and empowering. The children presented Art work that they had created with key messages on linked to Sarah's achievements. Sarah’s visit highlighted the continued progress needed to ensure that women’s voices are heard and valued in all areas of life.

Members of our School Council also met with Sarah and discussed what it was like to be a MP. The children were able to share how they were making a difference to support democracy at Lodge Primary.

Thank you Mr Phillpott for making this event happen!
