Lodge Primary School

Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is funding given to schools to support pupils who claim free school meals and those who are looked after by the local authority. The funding is intended to help raise the achievement of these pupils and to 'close the gap' between different groups of pupils. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium allocated to schools is spent, since the government believes that they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. All members of staff and our governing body at Lodge Primary are committed to giving the best possible education to all our pupils, and are dedicated towards closing the gap between children in receipt of the pupil premium grant and their peers.

Provision will be made through:

  • Facilitating pupils’ access to the curriculum, including curriculum enrichment activities.
  • Offering a range of alternative support and interventions.
